Ogygia

I craved the time when I was alone
so much so it 
started to crave back
weathered flowers and pale pollen
settling in soft hollows and 
broken skin 
I felt myself sicken
I felt myself starve 
I felt myself 
rot 

the mind is poor company
but I was a poorer friend
I stood by and watched
the spiders make it theirs
