Best Microfiction success

A huge congratulations to the two takahē writers who’ve had work selected for inclusion in Best Microfiction 2020! And as always, thank you for choosing takahē as a home for your work.

Of our nominations, guest editor Michael Martone has cherry-picked:

Frankie’s story The Fish My Father Gave Me, from Atticus Review, has also won a spot in the anthology.

Best Microfiction, due out with Pelekinesis in April 2020, is a collection of the best English language stories under 400 words from around the world. This year’s anthology will also include some internationally acclaimed writers of the short form, including K M Elkes, Kathryn Kulpa, and Cathy Ulrich, among many others. Here’s the full list of the selected stories.
